Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator to join our interdisciplinary team. This hybrid role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with accurate cost estimating to support quoting, process optimization, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Review RFQs, drawings, and customer specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and outsourced services
  • Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and job travelers
  • Provide technical input during bid reviews and customer discussions
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities during the quoting and manufacturing phase

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software
  • Experience with Epicor ERP system highly preferred
  • Experience with Gibbs cam or Mastercam is a Plus!
