Manufacturing Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Provide engineering support to develop, direct, and implement the processes, methods, and equipment used in the manufacturing department to ensure the company product lines are manufactured in the most cost effective and timely manner while assuring the highest quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage key projects in addition to supporting the manufacturing floor.

· Provide input and support to Product Engineering, the Manufacturing Process, and Design Upgrades for existing products, processes and equipment to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.

· Develop and maintain accurate and detailed reports, routing, and methods to improve the manufacturing process.

· Interface and coordinate New Product Introduction and other key projects with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Production Control, etc.

· Determine root cause of problems in production which impact quality, reliability and safety and initiate proper corrective actions.

· Conduct special tests, and support test technicians, product assurance technicians, and inspection personnel to aid in their job functions.

· Support the evaluation of non-conforming material, in-house and from outside sources, and arrange for appropriate disposition and corrections.
