Manufacturing Engineer I

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, improve manufacturing efficiency, develop and optimize processes, and troubleshoot technical issues encountered during New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing production. This position works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, management, suppliers, and customers to ensure manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet product requirements.

The level of responsibility will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, with opportunities to contribute to process development, product integrity, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering Support

• Provide technical support to production assembly and testing processes, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flows, production times, staffing requirements, and associated cost estimates.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), product transitions, and ongoing manufacturing operations.

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and management to resolve technical challenges and support production schedules.

• Support customer product changes, engineering change notices (ECNs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide technical support for the quotation process, working with internal Component Engineering personnel and current or prospective customers to resolve technical questions.

• Communicate with customers as needed regarding technical issues related to product assembly, testing, and manufacturing requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
