Manufacturing Engineer

Price Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Suwanee, Georgia. This role is responsible for driving operational improvements through process optimization, labor and material cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production teams to identify opportunities that improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, cost analysis, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for labor, material, and operational cost reductions.

• Develop and maintain accurate product costing models, including labor and material cost analysis.

• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality.

• Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing performance.

• Identify, justify, and implement capital equipment and process improvement projects.

• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production challenges as needed.

• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process standards, and related technical materials.

• Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness activities.

• Conduct time studies, workflow assessments, and capacity analyses to improve productivity.

• Research and evaluate commercially available equipment, tooling, and process solutions.

• Participate in employee training initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.

• Support company objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

• Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or process improvement role.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, labor standards, and product costing methodologies.

• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

• Demonstrated project management and implementation experience.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.

• Experience identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing environments.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing-related software systems.

• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software preferred.

• Experience with Solid Edge or other 3D modeling software is a plus.

• Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training is preferred.
