As a result of
organic growth and expansion, they have a newly created role for a
Manufacturing Facilities Manager to join their growing team on a permanent full-time
basis.
You will be responsible for…
- Recruiting
and raising the available skill level in the plant.
- Identifying
productivity gains and implementation.
- Identifying machinery upgrade opportunities to improve
productivity and safety.
- Ensuring
that workstations are operating at maximum efficiency.
- Leaning
manufacturing processes and 5S principles are maintained.
- Working
with the National WHS Coordinator to ensure that safety standards remain
high, while maintaining full safety compliance at all times.
- Developing
and implementing best practice operating procedures.
- Utilizing knowledge of manufacturing machinery and equipment
and ensuring that maintenance schedules are met.
What the company needs…
Prior experience in the timber manufacturing industry or a
related field is highly beneficial, as well as being self-motivated and having
a goal-oriented attitude to work as a team and achieve optimal productivity.
Further skill sets desired by the company include:
- Prior experience in identifying and implementing
productivity improvements in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working with timber and nail guns.
- Have
a hands-on approach to leading a team.
- This
task requires the employment of knowledgeable individuals who can
establish standard operating procedures.
- Be
pleasant with staff and provide motivation to encourage employees.
- Flexibility
to work across various shifts (an advantage)
