Measurement Advanced Engineering Pte Ltd (MAE) is a Singaporemeasurement-technology company developing advanced Coriolis flowmeters,calibration systems and digital measurement solutions.
As MAE progresses from product development towards structuredmanufacturing and commercialisation, we are building a systematic knowledgebase covering production, assembly, inspection, testing and calibration.
The Role
The Manufacturing Knowledge & Documentation Technician will workclosely with MAE’s engineers, product specialists and operations team tocapture technical knowledge and convert it into clear, controlled and practicaldocumentation.
This is a hands-on role. The successful candidate will spend timeobserving manufacturing, assembly, testing and calibration activities;interviewing technical personnel; and translating their knowledge into workinstructions, checklists, training materials and traceability records.
The role is suitable for someone who is organised, comfortable learning systemsubjects and able to explain practical work clearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and document product manufacturing, assembly, wiring, inspection, testing and calibration activities.
- Convert engineering instructions and operational experience into SOPs, work instructions, checklists and visual guides.
- Prepare bilingual English–Chinese documentation for manufacturing and technical coordination where required.
- Maintain document numbering, revision control, approval status and distribution records.
- Develop onboarding and practical training materials for production, laboratory and technical personnel.
- Assist engineers in conductoperator training and competency assessments.
- Record manufacturing lessons learned, recurring defects, corrective actions and approved technical solutions.
- Maintain an organised and searchable repository of manufacturing and testing knowledge.
- Support product traceability documentation, including component, process, inspection, test and calibration records.
- Assist with documentation preparation for ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 and customer or regulatory audits.
- Support continuous improvement of MAE’s production and knowledge-management processes.
- Undertake other system documentation and manufacturing-support duties assigned by the Head of Product.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or degree in education, engineering, manufacturing, technical communication, quality management or a related discipline.
- Ability to understand technical processes and convert them into clear, structured instructions.
- Strong written communication, organisation and document-control skills.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory, workshop and start-up environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent documentation tools.
- Able to communicate effectively with engineers, technicians and non-technical personnel.
- Working ability in both English and Chinese would be useful for preparing bilingual technical materials and coordinating with MAE’s China-based manufacturing partners.
- Willingness to learn flow measurement, Coriolis technology, calibration and manufacturing-quality practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience preparing SOPs, work instructions, training materials or controlled documents.
- Exposure to manufacturing, laboratory, engineering or quality-management environments.
- Experience in instructional design, workforce training or competency assessment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 or document-management systems.
- Experience using photographs, diagrams or video to develop practical training content.
Prior flow-measurement experience is not essential. Structured technical training will be provided.

Initial Deliverables
During the first year, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Map MAE’s core system, manufacturing, assembly, testing and calibration processes.
- Establish standard templates and a controlled document-numbering system.
- Prepare priority SOPs, work instructions and production checklists.
- Develop bilingual operator-training modules and competency checklists.
- Establish a searchable manufacturing knowledge repository.
- Support implementation of traceability and quality-documentation practices.
