Manufacturing Machine Programmer CNC/CAM
Summary
This role sets up, programs, and runs CNC production machines at Knight's Armament in Titusville, FL, developing multi-axis milling, surface, and turning programs in Master CAM/Feature CAM from engineering drawings, and producing fixtures, tooling, and precision component parts.
• High School or GED Diploma required - Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming, and operating a CNC machine
• Experience programming in Master CAM /Feature CAM or equivalent
• Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines
• Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources
• Strong mathematical skills and blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities
• Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes
• Develop CNC programs using Master CAM/Feature CAM based on engineering drawings and models
• Configure tools and ensure efficient production
• Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data to calculate correct part dimensions for machines, tool
• Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges to check work
• Read instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure part dimensions within tenths
• Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality
