Description

Manufacturing Manager – Build, Lead & Grow a Manufacturing Operation!
Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys building something, developing people, and turning operational challenges into opportunities?
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to help lead and grow our startup manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who doesn't just want to manage day-to-day production, but wants to play an important role in shaping how a facility operates, building a strong team, establishing processes, and creating a foundation for long-term success.
At this stage of our facility's growth, there is tremendous opportunity to make an impact. You'll have the ability to influence production strategies, develop employees and future leaders, improve processes, and help establish the culture and operational standards that will support our continued growth.
If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and knows how to bring people together to get results, we'd love to talk!
What You'll Be Doing
As our Manufacturing Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for manufacturing operations, leading production teams and working closely with other departments to ensure we meet customer expectations while building an efficient, profitable operation.
Your responsibilities will include:

Build and Develop the Operation: Help establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes, production workflows, staffing plans, and operational standards as the facility grows.

Lead and Develop People: Build a strong production team by recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing employees and supervisors. Establish clear expectations, encourage accountability, and create an environment where people can succeed.

Drive Production Performance: Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules, customer requirements, quality expectations, and delivery commitments are met.

Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, improve efficiencies, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing and quality initiatives.

Support Business Growth: Partner with leadership, engineering, sales, and other departments to coordinate new product introductions, manage changing customer demands, and support long-term operational planning.

Manage Resources and Results: Oversee manpower planning, departmental budgets, equipment utilization, and production performance to support product line profitability.

Solve Problems and Drive Accountability: Identify obstacles impacting production and take initiative to develop solutions. Keep leadership informed while bringing forward ideas that move the business forward.

Create a Safe, Quality-Focused Environment: Promote a culture where safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability are part of everything we do.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, making decisions, and bringing structure and direction to a growing manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will bring:

A Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5–7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in contract manufacturing, metal fabrication, sheet metal, or assembly operations.

Experience leading production employees and, ideally, production supervisors.

A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, manpower planning, and operational performance.

Experience implementing Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives. Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.

The ability to make decisions, navigate change, address challenges directly, and keep things moving forward even when every detail isn't yet established.

Why This Opportunity?
Joining a startup facility means you have the opportunity to do more than step into an established operation and maintain the status quo. You can help build it.
You'll have the opportunity to:

Make a meaningful impact on the development and success of a growing manufacturing location.

Establish processes, build teams, and influence how the operation evolves.

Develop employees and future leaders while building a strong manufacturing culture.

Work collaboratively with leadership and other departments to shape operational strategy.

Take ownership of challenges and see the results of your ideas and improvements.

We're looking for someone who wants to build, lead, and grow with us.
If you're ready for an opportunity where your leadership, experience, and ideas can make a lasting difference, we want to hear from you!
Make a career with us!
