A Manufacturing Manager at Flexco can expect starting compensation of between $105,000 and $130,000 per year, or more, depending on skills, experience and education.
Internal employees must be in good standing with Flexco and inform their current manager before applying to any new role.
Purpose: Translating site strategy into functional execution systems within assigned manufacturing areas. Ensure departments are structured, staffed, and resourced to deliver safety, quality, delivery, cost and improvement (SQDCI) results while developing team members, improving processes, and sustaining operational excellence.
What you will need:
High School or GED required
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in place of the preferred degree, using the guideline of two years of directly related experience for each year of degree completion.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to CNC, tool and die making, machine operations, heat treat, assembly, or other specialized manufacturing areas.
Experience leading people or teams, preferably including direct supervision of employees; experience leading large internal projects or cross-functional teams may also be considered.
Technical knowledge or expert-level experience with manufacturing processes
Exposure to a manufacturing environment is required
Ability to support employees in their growth and success through feedback, instruction, and encouragement.
The role involves a combination of office-based and manufacturing work, requiring sitting, computer use, standing, walking, climbing, and other physical movements.
Travel up to 10% of time – with some international.
Experience managing a Tool Room will be a huge plus!
What you will be doing:
Owning functional results by setting direction, hiring and developing the right talent, allocating resources, and driving performance. Actively coaches team members, provides formal feedback and disciplinary action, when necessary, builds engagement, and creates an environment where people can grow and deliver sustained results.
Assuring compliance with quality procedures and inspections. Work directly with Quality personnel to resolve issues and answer questions.
Accountable for achieving on-time delivery. Partners with supply chain on systemic issues impacting customer satisfaction.
Responsible for assuring the right structure and headcount are in place and making real-time labor allocation and scheduling decisions to meet production goals and schedule. Actively coach and evaluate team members, deliver performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Participating in strategy development and execution, and assure departmental plans, targets, and metrics align with those strategies.
Driving measurable performance improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory through Lean/CI initiatives. Independently identifies opportunities, prioritizes projects, and deploys improvement methodologies; collaborates cross-functionally when initiatives impact broader business systems or require capital investment.
Owning departmental operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost targets and productivity goals are achieved. Independently controls day-to-day spending within budget; partners with finance on forecasting, variance analysis, and capital planning. Leads execution of approved capital projects.
Establishing clear performance expectations, monitors KPIs, and reinforces accountability to assure we have a highly engaged team. Ensures every team member acts in alignment with our company values and behaviors.
Be a member of our safety team, lead safety programs, and maintain a safe, compliant, and well‑organized manufacturing environment.
Apply department-specific technical expertise to support assigned manufacturing areas, including specialized operations such as tooling, machining, assembly, or heat treat, while partnering cross-functionally to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and launch readiness.
