1. Operations Management – 19 Jurong Port Road
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the 19 Jurong Port Road plant.
- Lead and manage the Operations team to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Oversee the implementation and operational readiness of the new plant as part of the company's expansion plan.
- Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials, production schedules and resources to support business requirements.
- Establish and improve operational processes, workflows and SOPs for the new plant.
- Monitor production activities, output, productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure effective coordination between production, engineering, warehouse, quality, procurement and other supporting functions.
- Identify operational issues and implement timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure the plant operates in accordance with company policies, safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
2. Operations Leadership – 3 Joo Koon Circle
- Lead and oversee the overall operational team at 3 Joo Koon Circle, excluding the Sales Department.
- Manage and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery.
- Monitor manpower deployment, production capacity, productivity and resource utilization.
- Work closely with department heads to resolve operational issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cost effectiveness and operational performance.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the various operational functions.
- 3. Expansion & New Plant Development
- Support the company's expansion strategy and operational planning for the 19 Jurong Port Road facility.
- Participate in plant setup, operational planning, manpower planning, equipment planning and process development.
- Develop implementation plans and timelines to ensure the new facility is operationally ready.
- Identify potential operational risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure smooth transition and coordination between the existing and new facilities where required.
4. People & Team Management
- Lead, motivate and develop the Operations team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Plan manpower requirements and ensure appropriate deployment of resources.
- Set clear performance expectations and monitor team performance.
- Coach and develop supervisors and key operational personnel.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline and a continuous improvement culture.
- 5. Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key operational KPIs, including productivity, output, efficiency, downtime, quality and delivery performance.
- Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, process improvement and cost-saving initiatives where applicable.
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Prepare regular operational reports and provide updates to Management.
6. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with company policies, SOPs, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering and relevant departments to address quality and operational issues.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees comply with workplace safety requirements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, maintenance and overall plant discipline.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Management and relevant departments to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, HR and other supporting functions.
- Provide operational input for manpower planning, budgeting, equipment investment and business expansion.
- Support Management in strategic and operational decision-making.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within a semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, or complex assembly environment.
- Experience managing and developing manufacturing teams and frontline leaders.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience using manufacturing metrics and KPIs to drive operational performance.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
