Manufacturing Operations Manager - India

Posted
Discussion

Sola Wood Flowers is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Manager to run operations at our Kolkata production facility.

On a Saturday morning somewhere in America, a bride walks down the aisle holding flowers made by hand on your floor. There is no re-ship date for a wedding. Getting that right, every day, at scale, is what this job is.

Who we are

Sola Wood Flowers makes affordable, eco-friendly wooden flowers. Every piece is handcrafted, and our flowers now show up in more than 6% of American weddings each year. We are building a modernized, vertically integrated platform north of $100M across DTC, owned retail, and wholesale, and India is central to how we grow.

Before you apply

This is not a desk job and it is not a reporting job. You lead from the floor, next to your supervisors, while the work is happening. The pace is real. If you are looking for a low-stress 9-to-5, we would rather tell you now.

Your responsibilities

- Own day-to-day operations of the Kolkata facility: output, quality, people, and process.

- Deliver volume and lead-time targets. Every wedding order ships on time. Fixed date, no do-over.

- Grow your supervisors. The mark of a great operations leader is a floor that performs without them.

- See the bottleneck coming before it costs a ship day.

- Practice lean and kaizen daily. Cut waste, raise throughput, improve unit economics as we scale.

What you bring

- Real experience running manufacturing or production operations, ideally in handcrafted, labor-intensive settings.

- A track record of managing large teams.

- A data-driven working style. Excel/Sheets fluency will come up in the interview.

- Fluent English, written and spoken.

- On-site daily in Kolkata.

- Able to provide references.

What you get

Ownership, not a warm seat. Smart people, low drama, and a clearly defined compensation philosophy. You win when we win.

The hiring process

A short intro conversation, then a longer technical interview on production operations. We will not waste your time or ours on a mishire. Your KPIs and targets are agreed together up front, so you always know how you are doing. We run on EOS/Traction (Scaling Up and OKRs adjacent). Average time from first interview to decision: about 8 to 10 days.

Apply now - we read every application :)
