MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION MANAGER
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Production Manager leads day-to-day production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role plans manpower and production schedules, drives continuous improvement, controls costs, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Develop production schedules, allocate manpower, and coordinate with maintenance, QA, warehouse, and planning teams.
Monitor production KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, scrap, throughput) and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and enforce safe work practices.
Manage machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and stoppages.
Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean/Kaizen/5S), including process optimization and waste reduction.
Ensure products meet quality standards; investigate non-conformances and implement CAPA actions.
Control production costs (materials usage, labor, overtime, utilities) and improve productivity.
Train, coach, and supervise production supervisors/operators; conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions when needed.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation (batch/route cards, shift reports, traceability).
Support audits (ISO/industry standards/customer audits) and ensure readiness at all times.
Coordinate new product introductions (NPIs), trials, and process changes, and relate to relevant stakeholders
