Quality Engineer

• Hourly Pay: $32-$40/hr
• Location: St. George, Utah
• Position Type: Contract
• Expected Start: Immediate

JOB DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct incoming inspection of parts to ensure parts meet inspection criteria as described in drawings, schematics, etc.
• Conduct quality inspection of assembled tools and equipment to ensure functionality and acceptable workmanship according to drawings, schematics, diagrams, P&IDs, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot issues with electrical wiring, pneumatic/hydraulic plumbing, and technician-level testing of controls software on devices such as PLCs, IPCs, PCBs, and HMIs.
• Communicate issues to operations, engineering, and site leadership promptly and succinctly.
• Elevate controls issues to the Controls Engineer and document and fix mechanical/wiring issues to provide to the assembly and operations teams for continuous improvement.

  QUALIFICATIONS
  Education: Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related Engineering Fields from an Accredited College or University. 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience with technical training is also acceptable.
  Experience: Up to 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Engineering, electro-mechanical assembly and testing of OEM equipment, or similar roles.
  Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and industrial work instructions.
• Knowledge of and ability to use quality inspection equipment such as calipers,
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5-2009 or later including knowledge of GD&T for quality inspections.
• Low voltage wire troubleshooting, particularly in industrial electrical cabinets
