Manufacturing Supervisor (Partitions / Cubicles)

Enforce all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Proactively identify and address safety concerns and ensure timely corrective action.

Develop, manage, and execute production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, lead times, and available resources. Communicate schedule changes to Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to ensure accurate customer updates.

Ensure all customized products meet defined quality standards and customer specifications. Implement and maintain quality control processes, conduct regular inspections, investigate customer complaints, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Supervise, lead, and develop production personnel (20-25 employees in the Toilet Partition / Cubicles Department), including machine operators, assemblers, and support staff. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Interview, hire, train, schedule, and direct employees to meet production objectives.

Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, recognize achievements, and administer corrective action as needed.

Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and coordination with Supply Chain to ensure material availability and uninterrupted production flow.

Administer and enforce company rules, policies, and procedures within the department.

Monitor the effectiveness of departmental systems, processes, and procedures, and recommend improvements as needed.

Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to safely and efficiently perform their assigned duties. Identify training needs and either deliver training directly or coordinate appropriate resources.

Monitor work-in-process, inventory levels, project and schedule adherence, work accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.

Support the company’s Quality Policy and corporate quality objectives by executing and directing quality-related activities. Promote defect prevention through understanding and application of the Four Level Defect Grading System.

Control departmental expenses within approved budgets and support cost-management initiatives.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting related to job completion, labor tracking, engineering change implementation, and special customer requirements.

Ensure production schedules are achieved and proactively communicate capacity constraints or required schedule adjustments.

Ensure all departmental equipment is properly maintained, safely utilized, and in good working condition, including lift trucks, hand tools, fixtures, and computer/office equipment.

Ensure departmental commitments and deliverables are consistently met.

Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Utilize approved departmental training modules and provide feedback or recommendations for updates and improvements.

Collaborate closely with other Manufacturing Supervisors and provide cross-coverage support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferable in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering).
- Familiarity with machinery and general production equipment required.
- 3+ years of working in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; mentoring, coaching and developing a team.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical documentation, and applicable regulations.

Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.

Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations such as percentages, proportions, area, volume, and other measurements, with the ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guidelines, and procedural manuals.

Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to employees, teams, or customers.
Location: Jackson, TN
Schedule: M-F, 6:00am - 3:00pm (flexibility as needed)
Salary: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00
