Manufacturing Technician (12 month - Contract)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform tasks associated with all manufacturing operations, including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Utilize advanced software programs to collect and analyze operating data for on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to determine and develop methods and procedures to optimize and control manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with engineers to conduct experiments and implement process improvements.
- Participate in abnormality detection to identify and resolve issues in production processes promptly.
- Drive improvements in production yield, scrap reduction, and Out-of-Box Quality (OBQ) performance.
- Contribute Kaizen ideas and actively engage in Small Group Activities (SGA) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in 6S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Education & Experience
- A Diploma in Engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and adhering strictly to policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping and safety practices in the workplace.
- Hands-on experience with sub-assemblies, soldering, and handling chemical solutions.
- Ability to manage chemical solutions effectively during the cleaning process.
- Flexibility to work shift hours
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite
- 3 shifts (7am to 3.30pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 7am)
