The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently producing high-potency pharmaceutical products in line with cGMP standards, supporting both commercial and clinical programmes. The role involves preparing and monitoring manufacturing suites, maintaining accurate documentation, managing materials and inventory, and ensuring compliance with ESH and quality standards. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate both independently and within a production team to meet scheduled manufacturing targets while maintaining audit readiness.Job Summary**
PPL Pharma Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Manufacturing Technician to support the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products. This role involves executing manufacturing processes according to established protocols and ensuring compliance with GMP regulations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to mixers, blenders, tablet presses, encapsulation machines, and packaging lines.
* Perform in-process checks and record data accurately according to batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Execute cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing equipment and production areas.
* Prepare and stage raw materials and components for production runs.
* Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to maintenance or supervisors.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Complete all necessary documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and incident reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and efficiency.
* Assist with equipment calibration and preventative maintenance activities as required.
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing technology, biotechnology) preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
* Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
* Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data recording.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
