Marine Insurance Underwriting / Up to $9K + AWS [ID: 712730]

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and oversee a profitable portfolio of Marine Hull & Liability business in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Develop, maintain, and refine pricing models to establish competitive market pricing.
• Assist in compiling, analyzing, and presenting monthly reports during team meetings and business reviews.
• Collaborate with the team to determine pricing and terms for new business and renewals within underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Strengthen new and existing business relationships using a multi-tier approach.
• Manage loss ratios by coordinating the account stewardship process and overseeing loss control activities.
• Evaluate facultative reinsurance needs and coordinate accordingly under underwriting and risk control guidelines.
• Stay informed on competitive and market conditions, sharing insights with the team as appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries to support business retention and acquisition.
• Conduct underwriting audits and provide a 4-eyes evaluation as required.
• Support senior management in additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• ACII, ANZIIF, or a Degree/Diploma in Insurance, or a Degree/Diploma in Business or Maritime with CGI.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Marine insurance underwriting with direct intermediary engagement and technical underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of marine insurance operations, underwriting procedures, and all Marine classes, products, and policy wording.
• In-depth understanding of risk assessment and relevant laws and legislation in the marine insurance industry.
• Proven experience in team leadership.
