Marine Operations Manager
Job Description & Requirements
Responsible for day-to-day operations of LNG Bunker vessels including liaison with the Marine and Technical Superintendents, communicating with customers, head owners, masters, ship managers, agents and bunker suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
· primarily oversee the day-to-day marine operations of the LNG bunkering vessels joining our fleet from Q4 this year.
· Liaising and coordinating with the vessels’ technical managers and external ship owners.
· Working closely with the LNG bunker desk and providing marine and technical support.
· Working closely with bunker customers’ technical teams on vessel compatibility and joint bunkering operations plans.
· Overseeing of safe and efficient operations of the LNG bunker vessels in line with local and international regulations.
· Coordinating with various port authorities and Marine departments at the operational level.
· Visiting vessels when required and supporting crew training and familiarisation.
· Visiting new building yards to supervise newbuilding vessels and attending important milestones such as sea trials where required.
· Provide specialist support for time charter fleet LNG-fueled tankers, dry vessels, as well as our owned and time-chartered gas carriers.
Requirements:
· Minimum 7 years of onboard tanker vessel experience;
· Min 2 years experience on gas ships including LNG bunker delivery vessels;
· Shore experience in LNG ship operations or training;
· Certificate of Competency (F.G.) chief mate or above.
