  • Support the recruitment, appraisal, mentoring and development of Masters and senior deck officers.

  • Assist with vessel takeovers, handovers and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Class 1 Master Mariner Certificate of Competency or an internationally recognised equivalent.

  • Seagoing experience as Master or Chief Officer aboard container vessels.

  • Preferably 2 to 5 years of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent, Port Captain or in a similar role.

  • Good understanding of navigational safety, marine operations and safety-management systems.

  • Experience conducting vessel inspections, audits and incident investigations.

  • Familiarity with relevant Flag, Class, Port State, safety, security and environmental requirements.

  • Experience managing shipowner relationships within a ship-management environment would be advantageous.

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
