About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our fleet. The successful candidate will provide technical and operational support to vessels, ensure adherence to international maritime regulations, and promote the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the operational performance of assigned vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and safety assessments.
  • Support Masters and Chief Engineers with operational, technical, and safety-related matters.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate dry dockings, repairs, maintenance schedules, and vessel certifications.
  • Monitor vessel budgets and optimize operational costs.
  • Liaise with flag administrations, classification societies, port authorities, charterers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance analyses, and management updates.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the fleet.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (Class 1) or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of sailing experience in a senior officer rank (Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, or Second Engineer).
  • Previous experience as a Marine Superintendent or in a similar shore-based management role is an advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, and other applicable international regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent report writing and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marine management software.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel visits, inspections, and emergency support.
