Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maritime Operational Technology Lead to manage, support, and enhance our OT network infrastructure across a maritime fleet. This role ensures OT systems remain reliable, secure, and compliant with international maritime regulations, including applicable IMO cybersecurity guidelines. The ideal candidate brings strong project management capabilities, a background in cybersecurity, and experience working with maritime or vessel-based OT systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage, support, and optimize OT network systems, including switches, firewalls, PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial controllers onboard vessels or maritime facilities.
- Plan and execute OT network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects with minimal operational impact.
- Ensure OT cybersecurity practices align with maritime regulatory frameworks such as current IMO Resolutions, IACS guidelines, applicable flag-state requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead cross-functional technical projects and maintain project schedules, scope, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot OT network issues, conduct root-cause analyses, and maintain system reliability and operational readiness.
- Audit maintenance and calibration records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to maritime safety and operational requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventories, cybersecurity procedures, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Vessel Operations, and Safety departments to ensure secure and efficient IT/OT integration.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and proactively mitigate operational and cybersecurity risks.
