Market Operations Analyst - Gift City
Be part of a new branch buildout in GIFT City and help shape how operations runs from day one. You will work across markets products and partner with regional and global teams to deliver safe, timely processing and strong regulatory reporting. This role suits a resourceful Analyst who can navigate ambiguity, solve problems quickly, and improve workflows using data, automation, and practical change.
As an Analyst in Markets Operations for the GIFT City Branch, you will support day-to-day branch operations across equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives while ensuring timely and accurate local regulatory reporting. You will coordinate with internal support functions and regional service providers to resolve issues, manage escalations, and maintain strong controls. You will also identify manual touchpoints, map processes, and help deliver automation and operational improvements. This role requires strong markets operations experience, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, buildout environment.
Job responsibilities
- Execute GIFT City Branch operations activities, coordinating with regional service providers to ensure consistent delivery.
- Support timely and accurate processing of equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives transactions across the trade lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit local regulatory reporting for the branch, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong documentation.
- Support adoption of regulatory reporting onto strategic platforms by documenting requirements and supporting testing aligned to success criteria.
- Manage regulatory and client queries end-to-end within agreed timelines, escalating when required.
- Serve as a key point of contact for compliance, legal, technology, and operations partners, ensuring requests are coordinated and closed out.
- Partner across teams to deliver process mapping, data analysis, and workflow improvements that strengthen controls and efficiency.
- Identify and prioritize manual touchpoints and support improvements using intelligent automation and artificial intelligence tools.
- Prepare management information and operational reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Support regulatory inspections, ad-hoc requests, internal audits, and issue management in line with escalation and governance standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations within financial services, including trade lifecycle support and regulatory reporting.
- Working knowledge of markets products and operations, including equities and derivatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear actions.
- Strong control mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
