Bring the GYG brand to life on the ground, one opening and one activation at a time.

GYG is opening restaurants at pace throughout Australia. The Activation Coordinator provides hands-on coordination and execution support across local area marketing, sponsorship activations, and new restaurant opening (NRO) programs — from creative logistics through to on-the-ground event delivery. Reporting to the Marketing Manager – NRO & Activations, this role keeps the Restaurants & Regions team running at its best.

This role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings around restaurant openings and activations.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the creative and logistics of State and Local Area Marketing (LAM) initiatives, including agency and stakeholder liaison, creative briefings, artwork approvals, and print production
  • Coordinate all marketing logistics for new restaurant openings, including opening kits, entertainment, signage, menuboards, and print materials
  • Attend restaurant openings around Australia and prepare post-opening reports on what worked and what to improve
  • Support the execution of GYG brand activations, sponsorship activations, and community events on the ground
  • Assist the Talent Pool program with briefing, rostering, and logistics for activation staff
  • Help set up and pack down activation sites, ensuring all materials and brand elements are on-brand
  • Coordinate logistics for GYG events including Franchisee Summits, RM Conferences, and the Day of the Dead national campaign
  • Manage Menuboard content and Mercado order approvals, and maintain GYG's asset management system
  • Provide general marketing administrative support, including invoice processing and ad hoc project assistance

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, events, communications, or a related field
  • 1–3 years' experience in a marketing coordination, events, or activation role
  • Experience working with external agencies, suppliers, and vendors
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Experience in hospitality, QSR, or events preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new platforms
  • A positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail and initiative
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel intrastate and interstate
  • Availability for regular weekend and evening work around restaurant openings and activations
