Marketing and Client Service Manager
The Marketing and Client Service Manager is responsible for helping grow assets under management (AUM) by winning new business, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the firm’s marketing and business-development efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Global Business Development team in achieving AUM growth targets from existing and prospective clients.
- Promote the firm, its investment strategies, and services through prospecting, cold calls, virtual meetings, and in-person client meetings, including overseas travel.
- Maintain accurate client records, communication histories, sales pipelines, and marketing activity in the CRM system.
- Partner with Investment and Research teams to develop client-facing marketing and sales materials, ensuring all materials receive Compliance approval before distribution.
- Prepare high-quality responses to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Deliver responsive, reliable service to existing clients and improve client satisfaction.
- Produce regular investment and client reports, respond to ad-hoc client requests, and support updates to existing agreements.
- Coordinate with Investment & Research, Trading, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to address client needs effectively.
Required profile
- University degree; an MBA or Marketing-related qualification is preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience in client service or business development within asset management.
- Strong interest in global capital markets and fund markets.
- Ability to build effective relationships with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Strong leadership, people-development, strategic-thinking, and business-judgement skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
- Willingness to contribute to firm-wide and overseas-subsidiary projects.
- Strong Microsoft Office and English communication skills.
- Long-term commitment to career development in the industry.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong technical and product knowledge of investment offerings.
- Relevant professional qualifications, such as CMA, CFA, or a securities dealer licence.
- Sales experience with institutional investors, including asset managers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
- Interest in responsible investing.
