Marketing and Communications Lead
Description
RIANA Group is
seeking a Marketing & Communications Lead to own and elevate the brand
voice and communications strategy across the group and its portfolio of
companies. This role will lead marketing efforts across our regional footprint,
helping shape how our various brands Marezi, SecuViz, and USS are positioned
individually and as part of the wider RIANA ecosystem, both in Kenya and in the
other countries where we operate.
Events are a
core part of how RIANA engages clients and the market, and this role owns event
management end-to-end from initial concept and planning through speaker
sourcing, vendor coordination, and on-the-day execution.
Dedicated teams
already handle functions like SEO and social media, and this role is
responsible for coordinating those functions into one coherent, well-oiled
communications strategy. That said, this is not a purely oversight position
ownership means being willing to step in and execute hands-on wherever the work
requires it, not simply directing others.
● Develop and execute marketing
and communications strategy for RIANA Group and its subsidiary brands (Marezi,
SecuViz, USS), across Kenya and other countries of operation
● Own event management in full
from initiation and planning, through securing speakers and vendors, to full
execution and post-event follow-up
● Lead, mentor, and manage a
marketing team, setting priorities and ensuring consistent delivery
● Coordinate and align the work
of existing SEO and social media teams into a unified communications strategy,
stepping in hands-on to execute directly when the situation calls for it
● Oversee brand positioning and
messaging across all group companies, ensuring consistency while respecting
each brand's distinct identity
● Manage content development
across digital channels, collateral, and client-facing materials
● Collaborate with sales and
business unit leads (Marezi, USS, and others) to align marketing initiatives
with commercial goals
● Track and report on marketing
performance and event outcomes across channels and regions
● Manage relationships with
external vendors, agencies, speakers, and media partners
● Own the marketing budget and
report on ROI across campaigns and events
Requirements
Must-Have:
● Minimum 3–4 years of experience
leading a marketing team
● Strong written and verbal
communication skills
● Demonstrated ability to manage
multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders simultaneously
● Experience developing marketing
strategy and translating it into measurable execution
● A hands-on,
roll-up-your-sleeves approach comfortable both directing a team and personally
executing when needed
● Comfort working across multiple
markets/regions
Nice-to-Have:
● Experience marketing across
multiple brands or business units under a single parent company
● Familiarity with the
technology, security, or customer experience solutions sectors
● Experience working with or
marketing to healthcare, finance, education, hospitality, or real estate
clients
