Marketing Communications Manager - Extremities
Overview:
The Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Marketing Communications Director and is primarily responsible for marketing communications supporting the Extremities business (currently focused on foot & ankle and trauma), working cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Sales, Clinical & Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and external agency partners to develop and launch strategic commercial campaigns. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Alpharetta, GA, working in the office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
This position requires a marketer who can think both strategically and execute with precision — owning campaign development from insight to execution, translating the business or customer problem defined by cross functional leaders, writing creative briefs, aligning cross-functional partners, leading agency development, managing medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) approval, production, launch, and measuring results. Integrated campaigns will support brand awareness, product adoption, sales enablement, and revenue growth for Extremities. Success in this role requires both strong campaign judgment and hands-on execution across digital, email, social, events, sales tools, video, and print.
Campaign Strategy, Development & Execution
- Partner with Extremities Product Marketing, Sales, and the Marketing Communications Director to translate priority customer needs, business objectives, competitive challenges, and content gaps into marketing communications campaigns.
- Develop and execute campaigns and product launches initiated by Extremities Product Marketing, translating launch strategy and product priorities into coordinated marketing communications, content, and campaign execution.
- Author clear, actionable campaign creative briefs that translate agreed business objectives and persona priorities into customer insight/problem, single-minded message, proof points, call to action, channel strategy, deliverables, success metrics, timeline, and budget parameters.
- Lead agency kickoff sessions and serve as the day-to-day campaign owner. Guide agency and internal creative partners through campaign concepting, copy development, design review, MLR preparation, production, launch, and post-launch optimization while maintaining brand voice and compliance requirements.
- Translate technical product information, clinical evidence, surgeon feedback, and field insights into clear, audience-appropriate messaging and campaign concepts.
- Own post-launch campaign performance reviews by consolidating metrics, field feedback, and agency learnings, identify what worked, document improvements, and apply insights to the next campaign cycle.
Content Management
- Develop and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns across print, social, digital, email, video, web, event, and sales enablement resources, ensuring each tactic directly supports the approved campaign strategy and launch plan.
- Own the marketing workflow required to move materials through Veeva/MLR for submissions, annotations, version control, routing, tracking, and final approved-file management.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Sales to translate clinical evidence and product strategy into differentiated value propositions and compliant promotional messaging.
Sales Enablement Strategy & Tools
- Ensure Extremities campaign and sales-enablement content is organized, current, easy to find, and appropriately deployed in our sales enablement platform, HighSpot, so sales representatives and distributors can use it effectively.
- Use HighSpot and campaign analytics to identify adoption, usage, content gaps, and opportunities to improve field activation; recommend actions rather than reporting metrics alone.
Market Research & Strategic Insight
- Support and, when appropriate, lead focused qualitative or quantitative research to understand surgeon/customer needs, campaign response, competitive perceptions, and field opportunities.
- Analyze research, campaign performance, field feedback, and customer insights and translate them into clear implications for campaign strategy, messaging, content, and targeting.
- Maintain a prioritized Extremities campaign/content pipeline based on commercial priorities, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, evidence milestones, product launches, and identified market gaps.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Plan, develop and execute social media, website, email and texting campaign tactics as extensions of approved campaign strategy, ensuring brand voice consistency, message discipline, and compliance with guidelines.
- Monitor and report on digital KPIs including social engagement, reach, click-through rate, lead conversion, email performance, and content usage to evaluate campaign performance and recommend optimizations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Director on website strategy, SEO priorities, landing pages, campaign pages, and content updates that support Extremities and Trauma growth objectives.
- Manage Kuros Extremities website content, owning updates and ensuring pages reflect current messaging, approved claims, product offerings, and campaign priorities.
- Build and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot for distributor partners and, where appropriate, surgeon audiences, ensuring content and cadence align with the active campaign brief.
Event & Tradeshow Execution
- Support marketing execution for priority Extremities trade shows based on strategy set by segment leaders/Product Management, including event graphics, collateral, advertising, and pre-/post-show communications.
- Partner with the Marketing Communications Director and Events team to deliver event marketing content and support follow-up and performance reporting.
- Support marketing content and execution for education and advocacy events.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing Communications Director, other Marketing Communications peers, and Extremities Product Managers/Directors to align positioning, launch priorities, campaign timing, claims, and cross-portfolio messaging.
