Marketing & Communications Manager
Gymnastics Queensland Marketing & Communications Manager
Marketing & Communications Manager
Gymnastics Queensland
(GQ)
Ready for the
Manager title? You might be a Marketing Specialist, Senior Coordinator or
Content & Communications all rounder who is already juggling campaigns,
content, suppliers, stakeholders and deadlines.
You know how to get
things done, you’re ready for more ownership and you’ve probably started
wondering what that next step looks like.
This could be it.
Gymnastics
Queensland is looking for a hands on Marketing & Communications Manager to
coordinate and deliver marketing and communications activity across one of
Queensland’s largest participation sports.
This isn’t a role
where you’ll spend your days locked away developing big picture strategy. It’s
much more about project management, coordination, creativity and making sure
great ideas actually happen.
What will you
actually be doing?
There’s plenty of
variety.
You’ll coordinate
marketing campaigns from brief through to delivery, create and manage content
across social, web and email, work with external agencies and suppliers,
support GQ events and programs and help clubs across Queensland with practical
marketing resources and campaigns.
You’ll also:
- Manage marketing calendars, timelines and
competing priorities
- Coordinate social media, website, email and
digital content
- Brief and manage designers, agencies and
suppliers
- Support marketing for events, programs,
courses and initiatives
- Coordinate sponsor and partner activations
- Find and share great stories from across the
gymnastics community
- Track campaign and channel performance and
use those insights to improve what comes next
- Work closely with the wider GQ team,
Gymnastics Australia, clubs and other stakeholders
In short, you’ll be
the person helping to keep all the marketing moving.
And because this is
sport, there will occasionally be something that was definitely planned months
ago that somehow becomes urgent today. Being comfortable spinning a few plates
will help!
Who are we
looking for?
You’ll likely have
around 3–5 years' experience across marketing, communications, content or
digital and be at the point where you’re ready to step up and take more
ownership.
You don’t need to
have been a Marketing Manager before but you do need to be organised, proactive
and a great communicator. You’ll be comfortable creating content, writing copy,
working across digital channels and managing multiple projects and stakeholders
without needing someone to chase you.
You’ll bring ideas
to the table but importantly, you’ll also know how to turn those ideas into
action.
Experience in sport
would be fantastic but it isn’t essential. We’re much more interested in
finding someone with the right capability, attitude and appetite to learn.
Why Gymnastics
Queensland?
You’ll be working
across grassroots participation, clubs, events, athletes, coaches, volunteers
and partners, so there’s always something different happening.
You’ll have genuine
ownership, plenty of variety and the opportunity to build your career within
the Queensland sporting industry at a pretty exciting time, particularly as
Brisbane 2032 gets closer.
Most importantly,
this is a role where you can take that next step without being expected to
already know everything.
If you’ve been
waiting for someone to give you the opportunity to show what you can do at the
next level, we’d love to hear from you.
