DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the Advancement Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager serves as the operational engine of Kingsley's Marketing & Communications department. Working in partnership with the Director, this position transforms strategic priorities into high-quality communications that strengthen the School's brand and engage prospective families, current families, alumni, donors, faculty, and staff.
This role manages day-to-day marketing operations, coordinates projects across departments, and ensures that communications are timely, visually compelling, accurate, and aligned with Kingsley's brand standards.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Proficiency with social media, Mailchimp, Hubspot, and other digital marketing tools.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Experience with or ability to learn basic photo and video editing skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism and respect for all members of our community.
- Maintains confidentiality, acts with discretion, and treats School equipment and community members with care.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing Operations

- Manage day-to-day implementation of the School's marketing and communications plan.
- Coordinate marketing requests and project timelines across departments.
- Maintain the department's communications calendar and production schedule.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Digital Marketing

- Manage Kingsley's website, including routine content updates and quality assurance.
- Manage the School's social media presence and publishing schedule.
- Coordinate digital advertising implementation and monitor campaign performance.
- Maintain Kingsley's presence on external review platforms (Google, Niche, GreatSchools, etc.).
- Support HubSpot CRM management and digital marketing initiatives.

Content Creation

- Create engaging written, photographic, graphic, and video content for print and digital communications, including social media posts, event collateral, programs, signage, brochures, flyers, postcards, supporting marketing materials, and major institutional publications such as the Annual Impact Report.
- Produce e-newsletters, email communications, social media content, and website stories.
- Design marketing materials supporting Admissions, Development, Auxiliary Programs, and school initiatives.
- Lead the production of the Yearbook

Asset & Brand Management

- Coordinate photography and videography, including scheduling vendors and managing permissions.
- Maintain the School's digital asset library.
- Ensure all communications adhere to Kingsley's visual identity and editorial standards.
- Coordinate production of promotional materials and branded merchandise.

Communications Support

- Manage distribution lists and communication platforms.
- Coordinate routine school communications, newsletters, and announcements.
- Proofread and edit communications from departments across the School.
- Assist with Head of School and leadership communications as assigned.

Event Marketing and Staffing

- Support marketing and communications for Admissions, Development, and community events.
- Coordinate event signage, collateral, photography, and promotional materials.
- Capture and share stories from school events across communication channels.
- Staff evening and weekend events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of marketing or communications experience.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Experience managing websites and social media platforms.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot (or similar CRM), Mailchimp (or similar email platform), and content management systems.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with photography, videography, and digital asset management preferred.
- Highly collaborative with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Kingsley is committed to equitable compensation for all faculty. Faculty salaries are determined based on an experience-based step scale, ensuring fair pay for those with similar teaching experience. Salaries for full-time teachers typically range from $60,000 to $78,000.
