We are seeking a highly creative, strategic, and results-oriented Marketing Communications Specialist to help shape and amplify our brand story across digital, earned, and local channels. This role is responsible for developing compelling content, leading social media strategy and execution across all platforms, supporting public relations and local media outreach, driving thought leadership initiatives, and strengthening our presence within the South Florida community.


The ideal candidate is an exceptional storyteller who combines strong writing skills with strategic marketing thinking and flawless execution. Equally comfortable developing communications strategies and bringing them to life, this individual creates content that resonates across platforms, adapts messaging for diverse audiences, and leverages social media as a powerful driver of brand awareness, thought leadership, community engagement, and demand generation. From managing social channels and writing blogs and press releases to coordinating award submissions, securing speaking opportunities, engaging with media, and utilizing modern marketing platforms, they understand how to connect content and communications programs to measurable business outcomes. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, require minimal day-to-day supervision, and bring creativity, analytical rigor, and accountability to every initiative they lead. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with executives is paramount, with an emphasis on project management using tools like Monday.com.


This role offers the opportunity to influence how customers, partners, media, and the local community experience our brand through impactful content, meaningful engagement, and integrated communications programs that increase awareness, strengthen reputation, and support business growth.

Responsibilities:


  • Social Media Strategy & Digital Content
    • Lead social media strategy and execution across NEXA's portfolio of brands, with an emphasis on LinkedIn and Reddit, ensuring content supports brand awareness, thought leadership, demand generation, community engagement, culture, and business development objectives.
    • Develop and manage monthly and quarterly content calendars, campaign plans, and organic and paid social initiatives with a cadence of 2-3 posts per week per brand, including NEXA and Sonim.
    • Create, schedule, and optimize high-performing social media content including campaign copy, executive thought leadership, infographics, carousels, short-form video, event promotions, customer stories, and company announcements.
    • Drive organic audience growth by actively engaging in industry conversations, post comments, participating in relevant online communities, building relationships with influencers and moderators, and identifying opportunities to increase visibility and engagement.
    • Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all digital platforms and communications.
  • Content Marketing & Communications
    • Develop compelling, on-brand content including social media content, blogs, case studies, customer success stories, infographics, webinars, executive thought leadership, website content improvements, and marketing campaigns.
    • Partner with Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Sales, and subject matter experts to create revenue-supporting assets including presentations, one-pagers, brochures, solution briefs, and sales enablement materials.
    • Capture and repurpose content from events, customer engagements, executive presentations, interviews, and industry activities into scalable marketing assets.
    • Support website content updates and modernization initiatives, ensuring content remains current, optimized, and aligned with business objectives.
    • Apply SEO/AIO best practices and content optimization techniques to improve organic visibility and website performance as directed by Growth Marketing Manager.
  • Public Relations, Awards & Thought Leadership
    • Research, prepare, and manage submissions for industry awards, rankings, and recognition programs, while proactively identifying new opportunities that enhance company visibility and credibility.
    • Support speaking opportunities by researching events, drafting abstracts, coordinating submissions, and assisting with presentation development under the guidance of the Growth Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing.
    • Assist with local South Florida media outreach efforts, maintain media contact lists, and identify opportunities to increase brand visibility across local, industry, and technology publications.
  • Events, Community & Internal Communications
    • Support communications and content development for trade shows, executive visits, industry conferences, customer events, philanthropic initiatives, and community engagement programs in partnership with the Events team and HR respectively.
    • Support the development of promotional materials, presentations, event communications, signage, and supporting collateral before, during, and after events.
    • Contribute to internal communications programs including employee newsletters, company announcements, culture initiatives, and executive messaging.
  • Analytics & Marketing Technology
    • Track, analyze, and report on social media, website, campaign, and communications performance metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Establish and monitor KPIs related to engagement, audience growth, sentiment, website traffic, content effectiveness, and campaign performance.
    • Leverage AI-powered tools to improve content development, campaign execution, workflow efficiency, and creative production.
  • Employees will be required to adhere to NEXA’s information security polices and procedures.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing communications social media, digital marketing, public relations, content marketing, corporate communications, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated success managing social media strategy, content calendars, campaigns, and audience engagement programs.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of B2B content marketing, thought leadership, SEO, social media best practices, and digital communications.
  • Experience supporting award submissions, speaking programs, media relations, communications campaigns, and event marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency with website content management systems, digital analytics, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Asan or other project management tools
  • Proficient with LinkedIn, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging social channels.
  • Proficient with Social media management platforms such as HubSpot, Sprout Social, Buffer, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Similarweb, and native social platform analytics.
  • Extensive experience with Marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, or equivalent solutions.
  • Social listening, wire services, or similar media and communications platforms.
  • Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Firefly and other AI-powered content creation and productivity tools.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Content creative tools and generative AI such as: Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), CapCut, or equivalent creative platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Technology, telecommunications, enterprise software, or B2B industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel within the Greater Miami Metro area; up to 10%
