Marketing Data Analyst
Summary
On-site Marketing Data Analyst at Advisors Excel in Topeka, KS, turning marketing and media data into insights for teams serving financial advisors. Day to day: writing SQL, maintaining the marketing data lake, and building Power BI/Sigma dashboards analyzing campaigns across digital, broadcast, email, CRM, and web analytics channels.
- Support marketing analytics projects through data preparation, validation, and dashboard development.
- Assist with data lake updates and management by loading and refreshing data, maintaining tables, and performing data hygiene and quality assurance checks.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI, Sigma, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Analyze marketing performance across digital, broadcast, email, CRM, and web analytics channels.
- Write SQL queries to extract, join, validate, and analyze marketing data from multiple sources.
- Manage and maintain marketing data within our data lake, ensuring accuracy and data quality.
- Partner with Strategic Marketing & Performance Coaches to develop reporting that measures marketing effectiveness.
- Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests for Strategic Marketing, Digital, Media, and Creative teams.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and data anomalies while providing actionable insights to business partners.
- Maintain documentation for marketing metrics, data definitions, and reporting processes.
- Continuously improve reporting, dashboards, and data quality to help teams make informed decisions.
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI, Sigma, or similar BI tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience working with marketing and media performance data, including paid digital advertising, broadcast media, email marketing, CRM, or web analytics.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation.
- Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses or modern data platforms.
