Job Description

Purpose of the role: Key accountabilities HCPs – Lead HCP expansion across adult specialties, including Infectious Disease, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Geriatrics

Own the local customer engagement strategy for assigned brand(s). Translate Takeda’s central brand strategy and modular content into a locally executable plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Local situational analysis and customer insight — understand local customer needs, barriers, journey and competitive context to ground the engagement strategy (engagement-focused, not brand re-strategizing).

  • Own the Local Engagement Plan — the core deliverable: an all-channel, all-tactic plan covering audiences / segments, objectives, channel mix and sequencing, module selection rationale, budget allocation, enablement needs, measurement plan and learning agenda. Develop it with cross-functional input and buy-in.

  • Design the local customer journey and experience — own the local HCP / customer journey across touchpoints within the overall journey framework set centrally by Marketing Execution, and optimize engagement quality, not just channel activity.

  • Set engagement objectives across channels — define goals, target audiences, key messages and content needs across face-to-face 1:1 (field / KAM), face-to-face many-to-many (meetings, congresses, events, advisory boards) and digital / non-personal channels.

  • Brief and train field teams on brand messaging — equip field / KAM teams with the brand messaging and narrative and train them on message delivery; the Sales Lead owns the rest of field-team management, coaching and delivery.

  • Sustain key-customer engagement and market proximity — act as a visible local point of contact for priority customers, maintain direct personal contact, and keep a first-hand read on the local market, competitor activity and unmet needs to inform engagement and MCE-developed strategy.

  • Orchestrate cross-functional engagement — convene and align commercial, medical and access partners around the engagement plan; lead or co-lead (with Medical) the local cross-functional engagement team to drive buy-in, shared processes and commitment, coordinating cadence and sequencing while respecting compliance processes and SOPs.

  • Reuse-first modular content — brief for modular components rather than full campaigns, trust central content as the foundation, localize only where required within approved claims and business rules, and run efficient local MLR; provide clear requirements to the MCE Campaign & Design Lead (Marketing Execution).

  • Data, analytics and AI-enabled orchestration — interpret omnichannel performance data; work with next-best-action / decision engines and CRM; use AI to support content adaptation and personalization.

  • Manage and optimize local engagement investment — own the local activity budget (meetings, congresses, events) and allocate it on an ROI basis across channels toward the highest-impact engagement.

  • Forecasting & local demand planning — work with Finance and other colleagues (including Supply and I&A), to ensure effective forecasting and demand planning is maintained for their brand(s), and that all required financial planning processes are completed.

  • Partner with Campaign Activation Leads (MCE) on activation & localization — assess market feasibility, adapt central blueprints to local needs and regulations, and align on channel mix, sequencing and timelines.

  • Close the loop — convert performance data into next-wave optimization and feed structured insight, content / module gaps and recommendations back to MCE.

  • Work within MCE Commercial Capabilities — apply the engagement methods, frameworks, playbooks and process standards they set.

Experiences:

  • 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition, healthcare marketing, product marketing.

  • Customer-experience quality: HCP experience indicators (e.g. NPS / CSAT-type) and journey coherence

  • Experience localizing central strategy and content and orchestrating cross-functional, omnichannel engagement.

  • Experience managing activity budgets and working within compliance / MLR processes.

Capabilities

  • Deep therapy area, product and local customer knowledge.

  • Omnichannel orchestration and customer-journey / experience design.

  • Data, analytics and AI fluency — interpreting omnichannel performance and working with NBA / decision engines and CRM.

  • Modular-content and MLR literacy; reuse-first mindset.

  • Budget and ROI management for local engagement activities.

  • Agile, test-and-learn ways of working.

Education

  • Relevant degree (e.g., life sciences, marketing or business); advanced qualification an advantage. Specific requirements to be confirmed locally.
