Marketing & Events Lead

About the Role

We're an early-stage AI/ML infrastructure startup building the go-to platform for creating, managing, and scaling reinforcement learning environments — and we're looking for a Marketing & Events Lead to own our story from the ground up. You'll sit at the heart of a small, highly technical team in San Francisco, translating complex RL and post-training concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with frontier AI labs, researchers, and developers. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants real ownership and the chance to shape how a technical brand grows.

What You'll Do

  • Own and execute the overall marketing strategy and content calendar across all channels.

  • Lead social media presence on Twitter/X and LinkedIn to grow audience, engagement, and inbound interest.

  • Ghostwrite high-quality content for founders that communicates product vision, insights, and platform wins.

  • Translate complex, technical product concepts into clear and compelling narratives for a technical audience.

  • Develop and refine brand voice, positioning, and storytelling across channels.

  • Experiment with content formats and double down on what drives results.

  • Identify high-leverage event opportunities — conferences, hackathons, and technical community gatherings.

  • Plan and run memorable, high-quality events that reinforce brand and generate pipeline.

  • Support team presence at events, including coordinating talks and appearances.

  • Use analytics tools to measure content performance and continuously optimize strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–7 years of experience in marketing, content, or community roles, ideally at early-stage startups.

  • Demonstrated track record of growing social accounts or company branding from a small base.

  • Strong writing portfolio showing an ability to understand technical products and explain them accurately and simply.

  • Experience planning and running events, meetups, or community programs end-to-end.

  • Background marketing AI/ML, developer tools, or technical platforms.

  • Familiarity with analytics and growth strategies for social and content channels.

  • A network within RL research, RL engineering, or the broader AI/ML startup community.

  • Comfort working independently in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments with limited oversight.

  • Genuine excitement about frontier AI and a clear point of view on how great technical companies build brand.
