National Health Governance Council (NHGC) is an independent healthcare governance and policy platform working at the intersection of health policy, public health, healthcare delivery, technology and institutional reform.

NHGC brings together policymakers, Parliamentarians, healthcare leaders, clinicians, public-health experts, academia, industry, technology organisations and other stakeholders to facilitate meaningful dialogue and develop actionable perspectives on India's healthcare priorities.

NHGC's work includes policy dialogues, roundtables, conferences, research, white papers, knowledge forums and stakeholder engagements across areas such as NCDs, healthcare access, financing, patient safety, digital health, AI, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medtech and resilient health systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Intern who is creative, organised and interested in healthcare, policy, communications and digital media.

The intern will work closely with the NHGC team on digital communication, social media, event marketing and stakeholder communication.

This is a hands-on role where you will get exposure to how a healthcare policy and governance platform is built, communicated and positioned among senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Marketing

Manage and maintain NHGC's social media handles, particularly LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.

Develop and schedule posts around NHGC initiatives, policy discussions, events and healthcare developments.

Assist in creating social media calendars and monthly content plans.

Coordinate with designers and content teams for creatives, posts, carousels and short-form content.

Track social media performance and prepare basic analytics reports.

Research relevant healthcare, policy and industry conversations for content opportunities.

Events & Event Marketing

Support marketing and communication for conferences, roundtables, policy dialogues and webinars.

Prepare event-related social media content before, during and after events.

Assist with speaker announcements, event reminders and post-event communication.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely dissemination of event information.

Emailers & Communication

Draft and coordinate event emailers, invitations, reminders and follow-up communications.

Maintain email communication calendars for upcoming NHGC activities.

Assist in preparing stakeholder communication for policymakers, healthcare leaders, speakers and partners.

Support basic email campaign tracking and reporting.

Coordination

Coordinate with designers, content writers, event teams and external stakeholders.

Maintain content and communication trackers.

Ensure deadlines for social media posts, emailers and event communication are met.




Requirements

Who We Are Looking For

Students or graduates from Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Healthcare Management or related fields.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.

Comfortable with basic content writing and proofreading.

Good research and information-gathering skills.

Strong organisational and coordination abilities.

Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Interest in healthcare, public policy, current affairs or social-impact initiatives will be an advantage.
