The Marketing Manager leads the day-to-day work of iQ Credit Union’s Marketing team and turns credit union goals into clear marketing plans, campaigns, and projects. This role manages people, priorities, workloads, timelines, budgets, vendors, media, and campaign performance. The Marketing Manager uses data to guide decisions, improve results, and ensure the team’s work supports membership growth, engagement, iQ’s reputation, and the member experience. Working closely with the VP Marketing and Communication, this role keeps priorities clear, work moving, and results measured.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and carry out marketing strategies that support the credit union’s business goals, reputation, membership growth, and member experience.
- Lead Marketing campaigns and projects from planning through completion. Set clear goals, responsibilities, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and measures of success. Manage the department’s campaign calendar, workload, and priorities to keep work moving and meet deadlines.
- Lead media planning and performance marketing across digital and traditional channels. Set campaign goals, audiences, budgets, channel mix, and measures of success based on organizational priorities and available data.
- Measure and report on campaign performance, membership trends, member needs, market conditions, and the competitive landscape. Use data, market research, and member insights to identify opportunities, improve campaigns, and recommend changes to marketing strategies and plans.
- Oversee Marketing service requests, including requests submitted through JIRA. Review and prioritize requests, assign work, set expectations, and track projects through completion.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Marketing team. Set clear role and performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct individual and team meetings, and support employee growth. Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and performance improvement when needed.
- Work with teams across the credit union to plan and carry out promotions, product changes, and other initiatives. Make sure Marketing’s work supports organizational priorities and can be completed within available time and resources.
- Select, manage, and evaluate vendors, agencies, freelancers, and other external partners. Set clear expectations for scope, quality, timelines, budgets, and communication, and hold partners accountable for their work.
- Partner with the VP Marketing and Communication to develop the department’s annual strategic plan and budget. Manage spending within approved guidelines, monitor forecasts and commitments, evaluate the value of marketing investments, and recommend adjustments based on priorities and performance.
- Ensure marketing initiatives meet applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge applicable to this position and understand and comply with government regulations with particular emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US Patriot Act and related regulations.
- Actively participate and fulfill expectations in the Credit Union Email Security Awareness Program as outlined in the Information Security Program Acknowledgement document.
