Description

We're looking for a strategic, energetic Marketing Manager to strengthen WWF-SA's brand relevance and drive income generation across corporate, philanthropic, and individual donor segments. This is a rare opportunity to bring your marketing expertise to one of Africa's most recognised conservation brands - translating a powerful mission into compelling narratives, campaigns, and partnerships that deliver both financial and reputational growth.

You will lead a team covering Face2Face fundraising, e-commerce and licensing, and donor engagement, and collaborate closely with our Communications and Environmental Programme teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute marketing plans that advance WWF-SA's financial viability and brand relevance goals, leading integrated campaigns that connect storytelling and advocacy with fundraising objectives.
  • Partnership & Donor Marketing: Drive the business development pipeline through targeted engagement campaigns, support compelling proposals and case studies, and use CRM data (HubSpot) to guide prospecting, segmentation, and donor retention.
  • Brand Stewardship: Protect and evolve WWF-SA's brand across all materials and activations, translating conservation outcomes into emotionally resonant stories for donors, partners, and the public.
  • Campaign Execution: Design and deliver integrated campaigns - digital, print, and experiential - leveraging WWF-SA's digital platforms, Face2Face programme, and the WWF Shop (including e-commerce) to maximise reach and revenue.
  • Performance & Insight: Monitor campaign performance, provide data-driven insights, and identify opportunities to deepen audience engagement and increase lifetime donor value.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of four: F2F Fundraising & Operations Manager, F2F Data Analyst, E-commerce & Licensing Specialist, and Donor Engagement Specialist.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in marketing, partnerships, or sales - ideally within a purpose-driven or non-profit environment.
  • Proven ability to connect marketing strategy to organisational revenue goals
  • Strong CRM literacy, particularly HubSpot, with experience in pipeline and lead management
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills
  • Analytical capability with the confidence to translate data into actionable strategy
  • Collaborative, influence-driven working style across multi-disciplinary teams
  • People management experience, including developing individuals in a diverse team
  • You recognise yourself in the values of WWF: Courage, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Inclusion

SUCCESS INDICATORS:

  • Improved donor and partner retention rates.
  • Increased campaign ROI in both income and engagement terms.
  • Strengthened brand trust and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Clearer alignment between BD&M, Comms, and Environmental outputs.
  • Enhanced visibility of WWF SA’s impact among key audiences.
