POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Sales, the Marketing Manager leads the strategic development and day-to-day execution of the Company’s marketing initiatives. This hands-on role is responsible for driving lead generation, brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall marketing performance while serving as the day-to-day leader and primary resource for the marketing team.
The position combines strategic planning, creative execution, performance analysis, and team leadership within a lean, fast-paced environment. The Marketing Manager
will develop campaigns, create content, manage digital channels, support sales initiatives, strengthen marketing operations, and ensure consistent brand messaging across customer and team member touchpoints.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels to support lead generation, customer engagement, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
- Manage day-to-day marketing activities, including email marketing, social media, paid advertising, SEO, content development, website updates, and marketing automation.
- Create and maintain marketing assets, including email campaigns, landing pages, presentations, blogs, social content, sales collateral, and other brand materials.
- Partner with the VP of Marketing & Sales and collaborate with Sales, Operations, Executive Leadership, and other internal stakeholders to align marketing priorities with company objectives.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, lead generation, attribution, ROI, and key marketing KPIs; use insights to improve strategy and execution.
- Maintain and optimize website content, CMS platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation workflows, including tools such as WordPress, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or Mailchimp.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Plan and coordinate webinars, events, promotions, customer engagement initiatives, conferences, and trade shows.
- Represent the Company at industry events and trade shows to build strategic relationships, increase brand visibility, and support business development efforts.
- Own brand consistency and messaging across customer, sales, digital, and team member touchpoints.
- Serve as the day-to-day leader and primary resource for the marketing team, including onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, accountability, and ongoing development.
- Manage marketing budgets and relationships with vendors, freelancers, agencies, and other external partners.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve marketing processes through automation, AI-driven tools, emerging technologies, and more effective workflows.
- Support customer retention and lifecycle marketing initiatives while balancing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- Three to seven years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- At least three years of experience supervising, mentoring, or leading team members.
- Experience working within a small team or fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to execute independently and collaborate effectively.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media management, content strategy, and campaign planning.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Mailchimp.
- Experience developing and executing lead generation, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and marketing performance reporting tools, including campaign measurement, attribution, and ROI analysis.
- Experience managing websites and CMS platforms, including WordPress.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience representing a company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows and building professional relationships that support brand awareness and business development.
- Working knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools and processes.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and external partners, including vendors, freelancers, and agencies.
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools, automation platforms, and emerging marketing technologies.
THE RIGHT FIT

WORK ARRANGEMENT AND SCHEDULE
This position is based in Carlsbad, California, and follows a hybrid schedule of two days onsite and three days remote. Occasional travel for events and meetings is required. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required based on events, deadlines, projects, or other business needs.
Regular Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
PAY RANGE
Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
Please note that the base pay range shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a SIMPLE IRA Plan with company match, employer-paid EAP, Life & AD&D, LTD, and STD (subject to eligibility requirements).
