Business Overview:

The Merrill Segment Marketing team, part of the Wealth CXO in MDS (Marketing, Digital and Customer and Specialized Consumer Client Solutions) at Bank of America, is responsible for driving Merrill brand awareness and favorability, accelerating deepening and growth, and delivering comprehensive local marketing programs and support for both Merrill and Private Bank advisors to support their local practices.

The Wealth Marketing team is seeking a highly motivated individual to support advisor marketing programs. As an industry leader in the investment and planning space, the team develops and executes comprehensive marketing programs to help advisors and clients achieve their goals, driving sales and marketing initiatives through integrated programs and communications.

Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting marketing programs and initiatives, owning the delivery of primary components for medium to large products and processes. Key responsibilities include using advanced analysis and problem solving to recommend improvements and solutions, and may own or support marketing operations including performance, risks and controls, production audits/exams/maintenance, and content management. Job expectations include interacting with key business partners and leveraging expertise and technical acumen to define and deliver solutions for moderate business problems.


Position Summary
The Marketing Manager will serve as a key member of the Field Marketing team, supporting the Wealth lines of businesses including Merrill and The Private Bank. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining sales enablement materials, and advisor tools that support field sales teams and drive business objectives.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end marketing tools including strategy, content creation, agency management, governance and compliance reviews, publication, and internal communications. This position requires strong collaboration across marketing, product, compliance, and business partner teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality marketing solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently drive initiatives forward while navigating complex processes and stakeholder environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage advisor-facing marketing materials, sales tools, and client engagement resources that support line of business objectives.

  • Lead projects from concept through execution, including ideation, content development, creative review, compliance approval, production, and distribution.

  • Coordinate with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop marketing assets that align with brand standards and business goals.

  • Manage governance and compliance review processes to ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory and corporate requirements.

  • Publish and maintain tool content on internal platforms, ensuring materials remain current, relevant, and accessible.

  • Develop communication strategies to promote advisor tools, resources, and marketing initiatives across the organization.

  • Monitor project timelines, manage competing priorities, and proactively remove obstacles to ensure successful execution.

  • Analyze program effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a trusted marketing consultant to business partners by providing strategic guidance and best practices.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve content development, productivity, and overall marketing effectiveness.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, sales enablement, or related disciplines.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial services, wealth management, private banking, or investment management marketing experience.

  • Experience developing advisor tools, sales enablement materials, or client-facing marketing content.

  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot and other AI-assisted productivity tools.

  • Experience using PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Camtasia.

  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$90,000.00 - $127,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
