Discussion

Environmental Management, Inc. is seeking a creative, organized Marketing & Media Specialist to support our marketing and communications efforts. In this hands-on role, you’ll create digital and print materials, capture photography and video, manage content publishing, and coordinate vendors—all while supporting sales, recruiting, and brand visibility.

Working with the Brand Manager, you’ll turn approved marketing priorities into polished content and manage assignments from initial request through final delivery. Your work will take you from editing and design to active project sites and company events throughout Central Ohio.

What You’ll Do

  • Create visual and written content: Capture and edit photography and video showcasing projects, employees, equipment, and client stories. Write social media captions, website copy, email content, and project profiles.
  • Design marketing materials: Develop brochures, presentations, advertisements, recruiting materials, signage, event graphics, promotional items, and fleet graphics.
  • Manage digital publishing: Maintain the content calendar, schedule social media posts, monitor engagement, update website content, and build and test email campaigns.
  • Support digital advertising: Assist with creative development, campaign setup, and performance monitoring across Meta, LinkedIn, and Google under the Brand Manager’s direction.
  • Coordinate production vendors: Obtain quotes, prepare production-ready files, review proofs, secure approvals, and track deadlines and expenses.
  • Support events and industry activities: Coordinate marketing materials and media coverage for trade shows, sponsorships, client events, and community initiatives. Help prepare case studies and award submissions.
  • Track results and improve execution: Report on website, social media, email, and advertising performance, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Keep work organized and consistent: Maintain digital assets, templates, and project records while ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and appropriate content permissions.

Most of your time will focus on content creation, photography, video, and design, followed by digital publishing, vendor coordination, and event support.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands-on experience in marketing, content development, graphic design, or media production.
  • Relevant education, training, or certifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of practical experience and demonstrated skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant visual design, photography, video, and written content.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to capture and edit photography and video and prepare materials for digital and print use.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing assignments, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate with sales, operations, Human Resources, and outside vendors.
  • Sound judgment when handling company information, client materials, and unpublished content.
  • A willingness to learn new tools and strengthen your marketing skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial landscaping, construction, or skilled trades.
  • Website content management, particularly Wix.
  • Email marketing platforms, particularly Constant Contact.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Express, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Google Ads.
  • Marketing analytics, campaign reporting, basic search optimization, and digital accessibility practices.

Travel and Work Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Active FAA Remote Pilot Certificate under Part 107, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment. Drone operation requires certification and company authorization.
  • Ability to travel locally to project sites and company or industry events.
  • Comfort working at active outdoor sites with uneven terrain, changing weather, noise, and operating equipment.
  • Ability to transport and position photography, video, and event materials as needed and follow site safety procedures, including required personal protective equipment.

Essential duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

What Success Looks Like

You deliver accurate, consistent marketing materials on time; keep content calendars and digital assets organized; coordinate vendors within approved budgets and schedules; and use performance results to improve future content.
