About Us
Since 2003, the Healthy Back Institute has helped millions of people reclaim their freedom from pain. We are a remote, direct-to-consumer health and wellness company built on six core values: Freedom, Love, Team, Growth, Excellence, and Courage.
We are in the middle of a major transformation, migrating from a legacy custom-built tech stack onto UltraCart and consolidating multiple legacy domains and brands into a single Living Well Nutraceuticals presence. This role sits at the center of that work.
The Role
This is an owner's seat, not a coordinator's. You will own the project management and operational engine behind our marketing campaigns, lifecycle programs, CRO testing, product launches, and brand consolidation work, across both frontend execution (campaigns, landing pages, offers, funnels) and backend execution (email and SMS automation, lifecycle workflows, creative and copy production).
This is hands-on execution. You will not manage people. You will partner with the CMO, creative leads, copywriters, agency partners, and our Customer Success and Tech teams to keep work shipping on a predictable cadence, with the authority to hold a launch that is not ready, reprioritize the testing backlog, and escalate blockers or vendor underperformance directly to the COO.
What You'll Own
Project Management and Cross-Functional Execution
Act as the central coordination point between Marketing, Product, Tech, and Customer Success
Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and dependencies across all initiatives
Build the workflows, SOPs, and execution processes that reduce friction and increase throughput
Identify bottlenecks early and drive resolution before they impact delivery
Campaign and Lifecycle Execution
Drive end-to-end execution of campaigns, launches, landing pages, offers, and funnel updates
Drive execution of email and SMS programs, lifecycle automations, and retention workflows, and coordinate the creative and copy production behind them
Keep Klaviyo running cleanly and aligned with what's happening on the frontend
CRO and Funnel Operations
Manage the CRO testing backlog across landing pages, offers, and checkout flows, making sure each test is properly scoped, quality checked, and launched on time
Support continuous optimization of DTC funnels and customer journeys tied to conversion, AOV, LTV, and revenue
Migration, Brand Consolidation, and Product Launches
Support the migration of legacy domains into our unified Living Well Nutraceuticals presence on UltraCart
Coordinate operational execution of new offers, bundles, and funnel updates across product, marketing, and tech
Ensure clean QA and go-live processes for new product initiatives and migrated assets
Agency and Vendor Accountability
Scope engagements up front, defining deliverables, expectations, timelines, and success measures before work begins
Hold agencies and vendors to their statements of work, tracking delivery against spend and surfacing underperformance early
Partner with Business Operations on scopes, agreements, and renewals, and with the CMO to ensure external partners deliver against the direction they are given
Requirements
What You Bring
Required
DTC or eCommerce ownership. You have owned marketing or product execution inside a direct-to-consumer or eCommerce business, with at least one in-house role. Agency experience layered on top of in-house depth is welcome; agency-only won't clear.
Owned scope. Three years minimum, five preferred. We count years of real ownership rather than years spent holding a particular title, so adjacent titles are welcome if the scope was yours.
Process and documentation. You've built the workflows, SOPs, templates, or automation that make repeat work faster and more consistent. Tool agnostic; we care about what you built and what it replaced.
Stakeholder management. Comfortable working directly with executives, creative leads, and agency partners. You keep expectations aligned with what's actually deliverable and navigate competing priorities without losing the timeline.
Funnel fluency. Working knowledge of DTC funnels, offers, and checkout flows, and how conversion connects to AOV, LTV, and revenue.
Comfort with AI. You use AI meaningfully in how you plan and run work, and you have a point of view on where it helps and where it doesn't.
Operating experience. You've worked in environments that needed structure and helped build it, rather than only maintaining a process that was already running well.
Working structure. Able to work as a US employee or as a contractor under an existing US entity, with meaningful daily overlap with US Central hours.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting domain migration, replatforming, or brand consolidation
Hands-on CRO testing experience
Direct-response marketing, and subscription, free trial, or continuity business models. We are a direct-response subscription business, so this will help you ramp faster.
UltraCart or similar SaaS commerce platforms, and Klaviyo
Health, wellness, or supplement DTC experience
Lean, fast-paced, or turnaround business environments
