The Planet Group is looking for a Marketing Planning Analyst to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-months contract, working a hybrid onsite schedule in Culver City, CA.
Marketing Planning Analyst | Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy, marketing operations, business strategy, finance, consulting, or analytics.
- Experience managing complex budgets, forecasting, and investment planning.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel or equivalent analytical tools.
- Experience synthesizing large datasets into executive-level insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience developing marketing investment strategies across digital and offline channels.
- Strong understanding of marketing measurement methodologies, including incrementality, attribution, and customer lifetime value.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through data-driven storytelling.
- Experience improving operational processes and building scalable planning frameworks.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for combining analytical rigor with strategic thinking to solve complex business challenges.
Marketing Planning Analyst | Description:
- Lead end-to-end marketing budget planning, forecasting, and ongoing investment management across multiple marketing initiatives.
- Develop investment strategies that maximize business impact while balancing growth, efficiency, and longterm customer value.
- Build financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate marketing investment opportunities
- Conduct audience research and sizing to help inform campaign targeting and investment
- Design scalable frameworks for prioritizing investments across channels, audiences, and business priorities.
- Analyze marketing performance, incrementality, customer acquisition, and return on investment to inform future planning decisions.
- Drive annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and cross-functional operating rhythms.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning tools, reporting automation, and operational workflows through data and technology.
