Marketing Representative
As a Marketing Representative you will support MMG’s growth by partnering with independent agents and internal teams to drive profitable business in your assigned territory (Central Maine). This role involves developing agency business plans, prospecting new appointments, monitoring market conditions, assisting the team with underwriting tasks, and developing new products.
This Central Maine-based role combines office responsibilities with fieldwork. The successful candidate must live in Central Maine and be able to travel to agency locations throughout the territory, from Fort Kent to Augusta. This position reports directly to the Senior Territory Manager.

Compensation Range: The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000. This position may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications and the final title, level, and compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity and market considerations.

What You’ll Do:
- In collaboration with the Senior Territory Manager, serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned independent agencies in the territory. You will build effective relationships with all levels of personnel within the agency and conduct regular agency visits and business reviews to strengthen engagement and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop business plans for all assigned agencies, reviews monthly results, and takes action to meet annual goals and objectives.
- Analyzes market penetration in assigned territory and prospect for new agency appointments as needed. Develop proposals for new agency prospects for management review and approval.
- Evaluates territory for growth opportunities, including book transfer. Refers any growth opportunities to management for review and approval.
- Delivers training and presentations around MMG products, appetite, systems, and strategic initiatives. Represents MMG at agency meetings, industry events, and association functions.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive new business quote activity and consistently improve conversion rate of quoted business. Collaborate with underwriting teams to impact profitable growth in the territory.
- Partners with Claims, Customer Service, Underwriting and Product teams to enhance agency experience and business results.
What You Bring:
- Some insurance industry experience is required. Experience in relationship management and/or underwriting is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in sales or premium growth roles.
- Strong analytical and business development skills, metric driven.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Highly organized, self-starter.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
