WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Marketing & Sales Intern provides support to CSM Group’s marketing and sales teams in their advertising, promotional, and client pursuit efforts. Their main duties include completing clerical and administrative duties, providing sales support and enablement, and supporting lead generation and conversion.
The Marketing & Sales Intern reports to the Creative Services Manager, who outlines job priorities and marketing and sales-specific activities.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing
- Supports marketing campaign planning and execution
- Participates in marketing brainstorming sessions
- Takes part in formal and informal training opportunities
- Measures and reports the results of marketing initiatives
- Assists in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels
- Works with the team to help organize internal and external events
- Sales
- Works closely with the Vice President of National Sales, Creative Services Manager, and Sales & Marketing Coordinator to complete all allocated tasks and observe and carry out all allocated tasks
- Conducts industry and client research
- Performs market analysis and research on competition
- Assists with updating sales documents
- Supports the maintenance of CSM Group’s customer relationship management system (HubSpot)
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
- Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Extremely organized with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills and be pleasant, personable, and dependable
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Live in Kalamazoo County

While performing this job, the employee may be regularly required to drive to and from the jobsites/assigned locations, sit, walk, stand, talk, hear, and smell. A major portion of the employees’ tasks requires extensive walking around the jobsite, including active construction areas. The employee is required to traverse uneven terrain and work from ladders, scaffolds, and other structures, as well as work at variable heights. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle tools, controls, and for fine motor coordination like computer work. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
For Field positions, while performing this job, the employee must frequently inspect the project site and may be exposed to ongoing construction activities, vibrations, noise, and various outside weather conditions (in all seasons). The work environment involves moderate risks that may require safety precautions. The noise level in the work environment may range from quiet to loud. The proper use of Personnel Protective Equipment (including but not limited to safety boots, hard hats, and protective eyewear) is required on the jobsite.
