About the opportunity
The Marketing Services Manager reports directly to the Senior Marketing Services Manager and provides local marketing support to assigned Camp Bow Wow franchise owners. The primary objective of this role is to help franchisees generate local market awareness and leads that contribute to center sales, growth, and a successful franchise system.
The Marketing Services Manager serves as a marketing partner and consultant to franchisees, helping them understand and implement marketing programs, evaluate local market performance, identify business-building opportunities, and develop effective local marketing plans.
This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for independently managing assigned franchisee relationships, local marketing initiatives, and multiple projects. The Marketing Services Manager works closely with the Senior Marketing Services Manager, Marketing team, Business Consultants, Franchise Services, and other cross-functional teams to support franchisee success. The role also partners with the Senior Marketing Services Manager on complex franchisee needs, performance challenges, strategic initiatives, and opportunities requiring broader cross-functional support.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive self-starter with a blend of field marketing, digital marketing, product/services marketing, content marketing, and marketing operations skill sets.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, solution-oriented marketing professional who takes ownership and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can translate local market performance and business needs into practical marketing recommendations.
You are confident building relationships with franchisees, internal partners, and vendors and can communicate ideas clearly to gain alignment and drive action. You are curious and comfortable testing new ideas, researching emerging marketing programs, and identifying opportunities to improve franchisee marketing performance.
You are organized and detail-oriented while maintaining a strong focus on broader business objectives. You can work independently, manage multiple projects, and bring forward thoughtful recommendations while staying aligned with the Senior Marketing Services Manager and broader Marketing team.
Essential Functions
Local Marketing & Franchisee Support
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison between Camp Bow Wow and franchise owners for assigned markets; communicate annual marketing programs to the field and support franchisees with implementation on an ongoing basis.
- Independently manage assigned franchisee relationships and local marketing activities, providing proactive guidance and support to help drive market awareness, lead generation, and center sales.
- Monitor, evaluate, and analyze franchisee local market performance and provide lead-generating and business-building solutions.
- Support the creation and execution of local marketing budgets and plans for new and existing franchise owners.
- Serve as a marketing consultant to franchisees by providing ideas and strategies to build local awareness and sales, reviewing media proposals, and making recommendations.
- Manage multiple aspects of new center and resale center marketing, including franchise compliance and account reconciliation, plan creation and execution, vendor coordination, and other activities designed to help new owners establish their businesses and reach breakeven quickly.
- Assist with internet marketing activities, including local search tracking, listings, email marketing, and website updates as needed.
- Assist with the ongoing communication of cause-related marketing programs for the franchise system.
- Be familiar with available Marketing Resources and direct franchisees to appropriate resources and tools.
Marketing Programs & Performance
- Track results of National Advertising Fund-sponsored programs to confirm strong performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Work with Business Consultants on marketing programs for alert centers and centers with the lowest sales.
- Research and test new marketing vendors and programs for the franchise system.
- Provide input from the field for use in intranet resources and proactive system updates.
- Assist in the coordination of special marketing projects and serve on cross-functional teams or represent Marketing as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and bring recommendations and solutions forward to the Senior Marketing Services Manager and broader Marketing team.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication
- Work closely with Business Consultants, Franchise Services, Marketing, and other Propelled Brands departments to align marketing support with franchisee and center business needs.
- Ensure the Franchise Services Department is aware of marketing efforts and initiatives for assigned centers.
- Assist with marketing pre-planning before Business Consultant visits, including completing appropriate Marketing Audits.
- Attend and/or present at meetings such as the Annual Convention, New Owner Training, Internal Training, Franchise Business Consultant team meetings, Marketing or Operations meetings, virtual training sessions, and other meetings as needed.
- Communicate effectively with franchisees, senior team members, cross-functional departments, vendors, and other stakeholders to convey ideas and gain alignment.
- Participate as needed in special department projects assigned by management or Executive Team members.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Services Manager on complex franchisee needs, performance challenges, strategic initiatives, and opportunities requiring broader support.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Vice President of Marketing.
What We Need
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in field marketing, digital marketing, product/services marketing, content marketing, marketing operations, or a combination of these areas preferred.
- Experience working with franchisees, vendors, agencies, or other external partners preferred.
Leadership & Technical Expertise
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and comfort testing new ideas and approaches.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and recommend solutions when obstacles arise.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and effectively present ideas and recommendations.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and gain alignment with senior team members, cross-functional departments, franchisees, and other stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments and deliverables.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and appropriately escalate issues or opportunities.
- Proficiency with Google Suite programs, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing programs, including Google Ads and Google Business Profile.
- Passion for marketing, customer service, and supporting franchisee success.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment and digital communication tools.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
Travel & Work Schedule Expectations
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Occasional out-of-area and overnight travel is required based on the responsibilities of the position. Travel is expected to be less than 20%. Ability to drive and tour markets with franchisees during trips is important.
