Marketing Specialist

Sales & Marketing, Renewable Energy
One full-time position (part-time considered for the right candidate), located in Logan, UT

Closing Date: End of Day, September 17, 2026

A strong sales and marketing team lets us engage our customers, strengthen our reputation, and build relationships based on trust. The work we do makes a difference, and it's important that we communicate that with the world. Our goal isn't just to sell—it's to understand our customers' needs and help them find solutions for their unique monitoring challenges. We're looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist who can make an immediate impact on these goals.

This position is designed to be full-time but we can consider part-time opportunities (up to 29 hours per week, between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm) for the right candidate. We know top marketing talent doesn't always fit a 9-to-5 mold. If you bring extraordinary experience or skills but need a reduced schedule, we'd still love to consider your application. Please note that benefits differ for part-time schedules; we're happy to walk through the details with candidates during the interview process.

We Are Campbell Scientific

We work to make a difference for those advancing science and technology for the benefit of humankind. Our advanced measurement systems provide key insights to people solving massive global challenges: severe weather, climate change, limited natural resources, sustainable food production, energy production and distribution, and infrastructure safety.

What's in It for You?

  • A premium benefits package: competitive Paid Time Off; Medical, Dental, Vision, and Hearing Insurance with no premiums based on full-time 40-hour weeks; Long-Term and Short-Term Disability; AD&D; 401(k) and a Profit-Sharing Plan; and gym memberships
  • The stability of an established global company. We've been advancing measurement science from Logan, Utah for more than 50 years, and we're built for the long haul.
  • A work culture people genuinely enjoy. We work hard and make time to enjoy both the work and the people around us.
  • An industry-competitive salary
  • Challenging, engaging work that makes a difference on a global scale

What You'll Work On

As our Marketing Specialist, you'll work directly with the Global Sales and Marketing Director to promote Campbell Scientific's renewable energy solutions around the world. No two weeks look alike. You might be storyboarding an educational video, building our strategy for an international trade show, drafting social posts, or tailoring a campaign for one of our regional offices.

Marketing here means the full discipline. Content and creative work are a big part of this job, but they rest on a foundation of real marketing strategy—positioning, messaging, campaign design, and a working understanding of how pricing, product direction, and distribution channels fit together.

This role is vital to the growth of our Renewable Energy business, and we're looking for a proven professional: someone who arrives with demonstrated skills, takes ownership from day one, and delivers work we can put in front of customers quickly. You'll get real responsibility, high expectations, and accountability for results. If that sounds energizing to you, you're exactly who we're looking for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical marketing content—campaign copy, sales collateral, and thought-leadership pieces
  • Shape our trade show and conference strategy - pre-show promotion, product demos, booth concepts, and post-show follow-up - working alongside our trade show coordinator, who handles registrations, travel, and shipping
  • Drive the creative behind our promotional and educational videos - concepts, setups, storyboards, and messaging - working hand-in-hand with our in-house video and photography team
  • Create and publish social media content that builds brand awareness in our target markets
  • Partner with our graphic design and editing teams (who own all design work) to turn your concepts and copy into polished, finished pieces and keep our website content fresh
  • Adapt campaigns and materials to the needs of our regional offices worldwide while strictly adhering to our brand guidelines
  • Shepherd the materials we create through our technical-accuracy and branding gates, ensuring everything we publish is impeccably accurate and true to the brand our customers know and trust
  • Execute and track marketing campaigns - email, social, digital, and events - and pass the leads they generate to our sales teams
  • Support the Director with promotion, pricing, product direction, and distribution channels, and pitch in wherever the work takes us
  • Exemplify Campbell Scientific's core ARCTIC values (Accountable, Respectful, Client-Centric, Team-Oriented, Innovative, and Continually Improving) in everything you do

What We're Looking For

This is not an entry-level role; we're looking for a proven marketer who has at least 2 years of experience. Marketing is a broad field, and we don't expect equal depth in all items listed below, but what we do expect is that you recognize most of this list as work you've already done well.

  • At least 2 years of professional marketing experience
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications is preferred, or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio of content you've produced for email, social media, and other digital marketing channels (and the results to go with it) is preferred
  • Excellent writing skills, from creative campaign copy to technical content
  • A command of marketing fundamentals beyond content creation - positioning, buyer personas, campaign strategy - and comfort applying them in complex, technical B2B markets. A background in environmental instrumentation or renewable energy is a plus
  • Ability to develop the concepts, setups, storyboards, and messaging behind video and visual content
  • Exceptional organization, with the agility to move quickly between projects of every type
  • A proactive, self-directed working style. You push projects across the finish line, treat deadlines as commitments, and know that excellent-and-on-time is greater than perfect-and-late
  • A drive to stay current on marketing best practices and experiment with new tactics

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Office-based in Logan, UT. Occasional travel for trade shows, typically once or twice a year. Must be able to sit for extended periods.
