Job Summary
The digital media designer will support the organization by developing content for internal and external, and bilingual audiences. This position is responsible for creating and delivering materials that are clear, engaging, and effectively communicate key messages to staff using multiple communication channels, including digital monitors, social media, newsletters, website, reports, advertisements, flyers, and posters.
Using a variety of design and multimedia software tools, the digital media specialist will produce high-quality visual content such as infographics, slide decks, animations, produced videos, recruitment graphics, and edited photography. This role requires close collaboration with teams and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support company communication initiatives by delivering visually compelling and informative materials
- Design, develop, and produce branded content, including bilingual (English/Spanish) audiences
- Create visual content for digital monitors used throughout company facilities
- Produce various video formats, including animation, talking-head interviews, and onsite recordings
- Create flyers, newsletters, posters, business cards, presentations, etc.
- Partner with marketing specialist to develop branded materials for product promotion
- Promote farm safety, compliance, and operations initiatives through graphics
- Support recording of employee engagement activities through photos and video
- Advise on best practices and current design trends
- Collaborate closely with the communications team to ensure alignment with branding and communication goals
- Coordinate language translation for visual materials
- Maintain asset files, ensuring proper organization and retention
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in digital media, graphic design, visual communications, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of work across digital and print media
- Proficiency in design and office software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with video and photo editing
- Strong understanding of branding principles and visual storytelling
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing content for corporate communications
- Experience with videography and photography
- Understanding of multimedia production and digital content lifecycle
- Prior internship or related industry work experience
- Interest in agriculture
- Bilingual skills, written or verbal
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based but requires approximately 10% travel on an intermittent, as-needed basis. The position demands the ability to work in various climate conditions, including extreme cold, and lift up to 50 lbs. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability to changing communication needs and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Some evening or weekend work may be necessary for crisis communication or time-sensitive projects.
