Salary: 330,000-450,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

  • MnK Niseko is looking for a creative, commercially minded and versatile marketing professional to join our team. The final scope and level of the position will depend on the successful candidate’s experience, strengths and skill set.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with strengths and experience in one or more of the following areas: brand management, digital advertising and performance marketing, photography and videography, content creation, social media, SEO, or broader hospitality and tourism marketing.
  • The position may operate at Marketing Specialist/Manger level with responsibility for leading specific areas of MnK’s marketing strategy and execution and leading a team of 3 individuals. For a less experienced candidate, the role may be suited to a Marketing Coordinator who can develop their skills while supporting the wider marketing function.
  • The successful candidate will work across MnK’s accommodation, hospitality, experiences, real estate and property management businesses, helping to strengthen our brand, grow direct bookings and create compelling content and campaigns for both domestic and international markets


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of MnK Niseko’s marketing strategy across accommodation, hospitality, experiences and property management.
  • Maintain and strengthen the MnK brand and ensure consistent brand presentation across digital, print and guest-facing channels.
  • Plan, create and manage marketing campaigns across digital channels, including Google Ads, Meta and email marketing, where appropriate to the candidate’s experience.
  • Create high-quality photography, videography and other visual content for websites, social media, advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and develop social media content and campaigns across relevant platforms.
  • Support website content, SEO and online visibility, including identifying opportunities to improve organic traffic and direct bookings.
  • Develop compelling marketing content for seasonal campaigns, promotions, newsletters, websites and other communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and use data and analytics to identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Work closely with Reservations, Guest Services, Operations, IT and other departments to understand business priorities and translate them into effective marketing activity.
  • Support the promotion of MnK’s accommodation portfolio, including The Orchards, Country Resort and Akazora, as well as MnK Experiences, EdVenture and Elevate Snowsports.
  • Assist with marketing planning for both winter and summer seasons, including promotional campaigns, partnerships and local initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing assets, content libraries and brand materials.
  • Keep up to date with relevant digital marketing, content, hospitality and tourism trends and identify opportunities for MnK.
  • Depending on experience, take ownership of specific marketing channels, projects or campaigns and contribute to wider marketing strategy.


Key Qualities

  • Creative, proactive and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in marketing and the hospitality/tourism industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating across departments.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a seasonal business.
  • Strong visual and creative skills are highly valued, particularly photography, videography, graphic design or content creation.
  • Experience with digital advertising, Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, analytics or email marketing is highly valued for specialist-level candidates.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or similar tools is advantageous depending on the candidate’s area of expertise.
  • Hospitality, tourism, accommodation, property or destination marketing experience is advantageous.
  • Japanese language ability is advantageous but not essential.
  • A willingness to contribute across the wider MnK team and support the business when required.
  • For Marketing Coordinator applicants, relevant qualifications, internships, previous marketing experience or a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and initiative will be considered.
