Description

The role translates business, technology and market developments into clear marketing choices: where Nokia should play, which audiences and opportunities matter most, how Nokia should position itself and where GMC should focus its investment and resources.

Operating across Nokia's businesses and GMC, the strategist connects market intelligence, customer needs, technology developments, competitive dynamics and Nokia's portfolio into a compelling and differentiated strategic narrative.

This is a senior strategic role. It is not primarily responsible for campaign or programme execution. Instead, it sets the direction that enables Marketing Planners, Campaign teams, Communications, Brand, Field Marketing and specialist teams to build integrated plans and execute effectively.

  • Lead the development and execution of Nokia’s global Cloud & AI marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business and technology priorities.
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities, investment priorities, and competitive positioning to strengthen market leadership.
  • Analyze customer, market, competitor, and technology trends to inform strategic decision-making and future direction.
  • Develop a differentiated Cloud & AI point of view that establishes Nokia as a trusted industry leader.
  • Translate complex technology innovations into compelling customer-focused insights, value propositions, and market narratives.
  • Create and govern a unified Cloud & AI positioning, messaging architecture, and thought leadership framework.
  • Define priority audiences, market segments, ecosystem partners, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Communications, and portfolio teams to deliver consistent and impactful external storytelling.
  • Provide strategic guidance to marketing planning and execution teams while driving alignment across functions and business units.
  • Establish success metrics, evaluate market impact and performance, and continuously optimize strategy based on data-driven insights.

You have:

  • Extensive experience in B2B technology marketing, marketing strategy, portfolio strategy, or similar strategic leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and their impact on enterprise and telecommunications markets.
  • Proven strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Ability to translate complex technologies into compelling customer value propositions and market narratives.
  • Expertise in market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in developing differentiated positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong capability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and actionable strategic priorities.
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across matrixed organizations without direct authority.
  • Experience working within large, global organizations, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategy and measure business impact.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience within telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with hyperscalers, cloud ecosystems, and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Understanding of AI infrastructure, platforms, and the evolving AI ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of advising senior executives and contributing to leadership decision-making forums.
  • Exposure to major technology launches, ecosystem initiatives, and industry-shaping market events.

P.S: The role does not support relocation.
