Discussion

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Marketing Technology Specialist, you’ll help shape and manage the technology that supports our marketing, advertising and member experiences.

You’ll work across our MarTech and AdTech ecosystem, bringing together platforms, data, analytics and audience capability. From helping develop future-state roadmaps to assessing emerging technologies and AI, you’ll play an important part in ensuring our marketing capability remains connected, effective and ready for what’s next.

Working closely with Marketing, Technology, Risk and Compliance teams, you’ll support privacy-safe data use, strong governance and thoughtful technology decisions. You’ll also manage relationships with technology vendors and publishers while helping us get the best from platforms across the Google Marketing Platform stack.

This role is a permanent opportunity. We have office locations in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne but we would be happy to consider candidates in other locations too.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Support the development of MarTech and AdTech roadmaps aligned with marketing priorities and broader business goals.
  • Manage marketing technologies such as customer data platforms, journey tools, analytics platforms, clean rooms and advertising platforms.
  • Assess emerging technologies and AI solutions to understand how they could strengthen our MarTech ecosystem.
  • Partner with Marketing, Marketing Science and broader business teams to develop and deliver use cases for Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT CDP), driving audience activation, personalisation and measurement opportunities.
  • Create and enable audiences using first-party signals and appropriate second-party data.
  • Manage publisher data access and establish privacy-safe tracking and measurement approaches.
  • Ensure analytics and optimisation tools are effectively integrated with our marketing technologies.
  • Support platforms across the Google Marketing Platform stack, including GA4, DV360, Campaign Manager 360 and SA360.
  • Maintain productive relationships with technology vendors, publishers and service providers.
  • Work with Technology, Risk and Compliance teams to secure approval for new platforms and data-tracking capabilities.
  • Promote strong data governance and compliance with relevant privacy requirements.
  • Champion innovation, collaboration and agility across the organisation.
  • Support efficient outcomes for members by following Members’ Best Financial Interests governance processes.
  • Perform risk management responsibilities in line with enterprise guidelines.

It goes without saying you’ll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We’ll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It’s quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have extensive experience working across marketing, digital marketing, content or a related discipline.
  • Your experience includes managing interconnected MarTech and AdTech platforms.
  • You’ll bring hands-on knowledge of customer data platforms, journey tools, analytics platforms, clean rooms or advertising platforms.
  • You’re proficient in Google Marketing Platform tools such as GA4, DV360, Campaign Manager 360 and SA360.
  • You understand how analytics and optimisation tools integrate with broader marketing technology.
  • Your knowledge of data governance, privacy requirements and privacy-safe measurement will support responsible technology decisions.
  • You’ll be comfortable assessing emerging technologies and identifying practical business applications.
  • You’re experienced in managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, digital or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
  • Your background may include financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • You’ll ideally bring knowledge of AI and machine-learning applications within marketing.
  • You’re collaborative and can work effectively across Marketing, Technology, Risk, Compliance and external partners.
