Marsh’s Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs (LCPA) department promotes a culture in which ethical, lawful, and risk-mindful behavior is foundational and consistently reinforced. We are looking for a Lead Compliance Officer to join our US team.
Reporting to Marsh’s Chief Regulatory Counsel for US, you will provide lead compliance support for the Marsh Government Health Consulting (GHC) team within the Health & Benefits practice.
This is a hybrid role that requires working in a local office at least three days per week.
We will count on you to:
Bring a strong background in state governmental and regulatory matters and be a trusted advisor to business leaders and colleagues in all roles
Be well-versed in the legal, regulatory and contractual frameworks for professional service organizations, including consultants and actuaries
Serve as the dedicated legal and compliance subject matter expert for GHC across a range of areas and partner with others across LCPA to deliver needed guidance
Demonstrate sound judgment in providing advice and making decisions in a complex environment with competing priorities, and in determining when to escalate issues
Educate and guide business teams on existing and emerging risk areas
What you need to have:
Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership (licensed attorney in good standing)
A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience supporting governmental and/or regulatory matters, including work in government contracting, procurement and bidding, conflict-of-interest identification and management, compliance, and data protection/privacy (experience with state government agencies—especially health-related—is a plus)
