MASH Team Manager

Salary: £52,413 - £54,495 (Inclusive of 7.5% market supplement)

Our Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) service is looking for a team manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly skilled, well established multi-agency team that manages safeguarding referrals across the county for adults with care and support needs who may be experiencing or are at risk of abuse or neglect.

Using a multi‑agency approach the team works closely with partners including Police, Health Services, Children’s Services, CQC, Fire Service, Advocacy and voluntary organisations to assess risk, share information, investigate concerns, and deliver coordinated, person‑centred safeguarding responses that promote safety and wellbeing.

The post holder will lead and manage the Adult MASH team, including Social Workers, Information Officers, and Minute Takers, ensuring safeguarding concerns are assessed and progressed effectively in line with legislation, local policies, and multi-agency procedures. They will provide leadership and oversight of complex and high-risk cases, support robust decision-making, and work closely with police, health, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated safeguarding responses. The role includes managing staff performance and development, contributing to the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board, leading service improvement using data and audits, and ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and desired outcomes of adults at risk.

The successful candidate will have a social work qualification, with significant post-qualification and management experience. They will have strong knowledge of Adult Safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act, alongside proven skills in leadership, staff supervision, performance management, and policy implementation. The successful applicant will be an effective problem solver, able to work collaboratively with partner agencies, use their own initiative, maintain accurate records, and be confident using IT systems. A Level 5 management qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable.

This position comes with a 7.5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
